Matt Bruce is President of Pointer Financial Group. Drawing on his experience in both institutional consulting and private wealth management, Matt seeks to apply the best practices of both to build customized strategies to help clients achieve a broad range of business, investment, and personal goals.
Having launched his career after working for a number of years in the non-profit sector, Matt built his practice on the principles of loyalty, expertise and altruism. A firm believer that everyone needs access to professional financial advice, Matt and his team pride themselves on creative retirement plan design, concierge financial support for plan participants, and tailored investment strategies for those with complex situations.
Matt’s primary focus is on overseeing the day to day operations of Pointer Financial Group and leading their team of exceptional advisors. When recruiting new team members, Pointer takes a people first approach with the goal of finding the best people and empowering them with the tools, resources, and knowledge to be extraordinary advisors.
Matt received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and holds a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. He continues to volunteer with and advise several non-profit organizations.
Born and raised in Colorado, Matt has a passion for the outdoors. When not in the office, Matt, together with his wife, Lora, five children, and dog Bosco, can be found spending time at their Northwoods cabin or traveling to warmer climates in the winter.
